# Vera

> Vera is an iPhone app that combines a personal manifestation practice with an app lock. It seals distracting apps such as TikTok and Instagram with Apple's Screen Time and opens them with a short letter from the user's future self, written from her own words. It also reads a new personal manifestation story aloud every day and includes a vision board, affirmations, gratitude and a day streak. App Store name: "vera: manifest & vision board". Made by Pairmind.

Most manifestation apps wait for you to remember them. Vera is in the one place you already go fifty times a day: the moment you open TikTok or Instagram. It uses Screen Time to seal the apps you choose, and turns each reach for your phone into twenty seconds with the life you're calling in. Every letter, story and affirmation is written for you, from the answers you give when you start.

## How it works
1. Tell her about the life you want: Your name, the city you want to wake up in, the thing you want most. Vera writes everything from these words.
2. Choose the apps to seal: Pick the apps that steal your evenings. Screen Time keeps the lock, and Vera never sees which apps you chose.
3. Reach for one, read a letter: One tap for how you feel, then a short letter from your future self. Tap “open my apps” and they open for ten minutes. Then they seal again.
